March 11 - 13

This is Pam.

Pam is one in a million. A US Army and US Air Force Veteran, Pam is raising a family of 4 on her own.  In talking with her, we quickly learned that everything she does is for her amazing kids!  Here, Pam talks with volunteers, Lauren and Fran about her daughter's studies in Nursing school.

Pam's plan.

Advisory Board member, Peg, reimagined Pam's backyard space as shown here. Vegetable garden, lawn space and a beautiful area in the back of yard filled with new trees, shrubs and perennials.

Women Build Week!

Time to get this party started! Thanks to our friends from Habitat for Humanity and the volunteers from Aqua America, as well as Upper Darby Mayor Barbarann Keffer, and 5th District Councilman Gwin, we kicked off 2021 celebrating Women Build Week.

Go Aqua America!

We love the members of the Aqua America team that came out to lend a hand. Open to new experiences, solution focused and goal oriented. The big question is, when will this team come back? Pictured here, Tom and Mary. Thanks so much for your work!

Team Habitat.

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties CEO Rebecca Cain clears out the backyard of leaves with the Habitat crew and our friends from Aqua America.

Iguana Be Loved.

We identified several of Pam's son's rubber snakes and iguanas hidden in the yard. After that shock, the team took advantage of the 70+ degree weather and prepped Pam's yard for our next wave of volunteers.

Wave 2: Saturday March 13

Volunteers Lisa and Laura got right to work on getting that back flower bed cut out.

A Family Affair.

Board member, Thom and his daughter Katie show the crew how its done.

Rosebush.

Volunteers, Simoni, Fran and ML, work with Thom to remove a rosebush from the front of the property.

Woman Power!

Volunteers Lauren and Sabine take a quick breather from their flower bed duties.

Driveway Crew.

Volunteers Fran, Jenn and Daria prep the side of the driveway by removing all of the weeds.

See you in May!
