Volunteers are an essential part of everything we do, from supporting land transformation projects to helping maintain the Sunflower Farm and participating in community events.
what to expect (FAQs)
What should I wear?
Layers! Make sure you have a few layers that you can work with. Wear sturdy shoes. There can be mud. You're going to get dirty!
What can I bring?
If you have garden gloves, bring them! We will have gloves for you if you don't. Some of our volunteers bring their own garden equipment, but that's totally up to you.
Do I need to bring food or water?
Nope! We've got you covered. Plenty of water and healthy snacks to keep you going.
What if it rains?
We are a rain or shine organization. However, if the weather is very problematic, you will be notified 24 hours prior if we are going to postpone and will be provided a rain date.
How long should I plan to participate?
We are normally asking about 3-4 hours per event. Sometimes, we may finish early.
