"Everyone really likes the yard, especially my nephew. He said we might be able to see if any bugs or birds live in the trees now! My neighbor has been working on his side and it really looks good."
Gemma, US Army Veteran
Layers! Make sure you have a few layers that you can work with. Wear sturdy shoes. There can be mud. You're going to get dirty!
If you have garden gloves, bring them! We will have gloves for you if you don't. Some of our volunteers bring their own garden equipment, but that's totally up to you.
Nope! We've got you covered. Plenty of water and healthy snacks to keep you going.
You will be notified 24 hours prior if we are going to postpone and will be provided a rain date.
We are normally asking about 3-4 hours per event. Sometimes, we may finish early.
Our sponsors donated over $8,205 in trees, greenery, flowers, mulch, shrubs and labor. This cedar grows in New Castle, DE and its twin grows in Willow Grove, PA.
We created new ways to support the organization through our T-shirt sales, our bulb purchases and Mission: Windowsill programming. There is still time to purchase our first T-shirt, but supplies are low!
"This was mostly just a barren dirt area. And now the plants give it so much beauty. I want to thank the volunteers for coming out. I’m not very familiar with gardening, so I’m excited to learn. I’m looking forward to seeing the flowers bloom."
Karen, Plane Specialist, US Navy
