Often the veterans we serve don't have the knowledge or the funds to build a garden themselves, purchase and care for a plant or understand how plants can contribute to their own personal healing process. Thankfully, we do!
Our goal is to help veterans learn to work with plants and nature as part of their own healing process, whether it's in their backyard, their community or on one of their windowsills.
Meeting and spending time with veterans, their friends and family is a critical part of what we do. It creates life lasting friendships.
Currently, we serve Philadelphia and the surrounding counties, Montgomery, Bucks, and Delaware. As well as Southeastern New Jersey and Northern Delaware.
Whether it's a Veteran community park, or a Memorial that is in need of intentional greenery and purpose, we are proud to offer our assistance.
Forest bathing (also known as shinrin-yoku) is the conscious and contemplative practice of being immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of the forest. All are welcome to experience this meditative experience through nature, followed by fellowship.
Sometimes you just need a few helping hands. We can help a Veteran make modifications to their personal at home surroundings while discovering gardening right outside of their doorstep.
Our organization operates year round. We can help a Veteran build an indoor garden, all they need to bring is their imagination. And we can do this wherever a Veteran lives.
We also can work live with small groups either virtually or in person to bring thoughtful plant based activities to veterans in order to help them reduce stress and increase confidence.
“There really is something so magical about being around nature. And thank you for all you do for veterans. You are helping so many of us on our journey of healing”
